There are multiple Legoland facilities across the nation and this is one of their smaller centers that includes 3 fun indoor rides, a small child Duplo play area, fun giant blocks to build with, tubes to crawl and slide around in and even a place to Build Your Own Racer to race against other kids with. To be such a small location compared to other Legoland's they pack a lot into your time there.
When you arrive you wait in line for a few minutes to go on the "Factory Tour". It's a fun little introduction to how Lego's are made that is led by a "Professor" who also hands each child their own Lego to have as a souvenir and picks a few from the crowd to help "run" the equipment. From there you are sent off on your own to ride the rides, play with other kids in the tubes and tunnels, watch a fun 4D short film or create your own Lego Racecar.
We enjoyed all of the rides, the 4D Film and the racecar building area immensely. We also really loved the Legoland Miniland. This particular location has a great Dallas & Fort Worth skyline made out of legos, the Texas Cattle Barn and even the DFW Airport. We love all things miniature and this was no exception. In fact we may have spent more time in that area looking at the different creations than any other part of the center.
We spent about 2 hours in the center but could easily see spending 3-4 if your chlid(ren) wanted to go on the rides multiple times or play for longer periods in the play areas. We went on a Saturday and it was fairly crowded but the staff was great and accommodating. I loved the fact that they had some awesome designated areas for younger kids and plenty of benches and seats all over for parents to sit and wait while their kids played.
If you are in the Dallas/Fort Worth area I definitely recommend checking out this fun place for your kids to play. A pass for the day is reasonably priced but their annual family pass is a fabulous deal that is definitely recommended if you life in or near the area.
