Recently I was given the chance to visit Water Works waterpark in Denton, Texas. We went there last year and my two younger girls were a bit scared of the water. This year, they acted like completely different children & turned into little water bugs as soon as we were inside of the park!
This year we were given 4 free tickets, a cabana rental(with a locker key), 4 free waters, & 2 souvenir cups(which I ended up not getting). Having the Cabana this year made a world of difference. I was able to relax in the shade while my husband played with the girls in the wave pool. My 5 year old had a blast playing on the slides in the wave pool area. She went on both slides multiple times. My 4 yr old wanted to go down the slides, but we decided it would be best if she waited a bit, maybe next year.
After we managed to get them OUT of the water and off of the slides, we went to the lazy river. I wasn't able to get any pictures from that because my phone was in the locker. My 5 year old was brave this year and wanted her own tube to float down the lazy river on(I held on to it of course), and my 4 year old sat with my husband and tried to "tag" my 5 yr old and myself. It was so much fun, that we ended up going around twice!
We had an amazing time and it was a great family outing. There are big slides, but we didn't bother with them since we had our two littles. We spent most of our time in the wave pool & the cabana.
We're already planning our trip back to Water Works for next summer! We know to bring an ice chest and food/snacks so we can eat lunch there. By next summer I WILL have my own water proof digital camera, that way I can get awesome pics of the lazy river and other things.
Here are a few pictures of my girls and my husband having fun and playing in the water.

(lol That face! My 4 yr old splashed her)
Don't let the "I'm not amused" look fool you. He had a good time! lol I think he was just a little jealous that I was in the shade of the cabana and he was in the sun.
If you are looking for something fun to do in N. Texas, check out Water Works waterpark in Denton! I can't wait to go back next year!
